The focus of research was conducted at the Islamic boarding school of two cultural regions in East Java, namely Mataraman and Arek. The attitude of the language in this study were identified from the questionnaire about the role of the Javanese language, namely: (1) strengthening family relationships; (2) strengthening family relationships in the environment; (3) strengthening the friendship among the students; (4) the Javanese language can be used as learning for the generations to come; (5) Javanese language functions to establish familiarity; (6) promoting business; (7) promoting employment; (8) promoting science; (9) promoting character education; and (10) extending experience. The achievement of a positive attitude is evident from the positive response of the students to the 10 questions in the questionnaire items. The findings of this study are that the language is well preserved in the Islamic boarding school. Good language and manners are able to provide a positive influence so that a conducive atmosphere is created, no brawl among students, demonstrations, and others. Therefore, the existence of Islamic boarding schools must be preserved and should be given more attention from the country because the Islamic boarding school is one of the "language savior" institutions.
