Abstract

ABSTRAK Veliana Arsita Rahayu. Aktivitas Maritim Masyarakat Nelayan Dalam Perkembangan Teknologi Penangkapan Ikan Di Pantai Wawaran Tahun 2005-2015. Skripsi. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2023. Laut merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi masyarakat nelayan untuk menunjang perekonomian, namun dalam kegiatannya tidak dapat memberikan kepastian pendapatan. Keterbelakangan teknologi penangkap ikan dan rendahnya tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat nelayan khususnya di Pantai Wawaran Desa Sidomulyo menarik perhatian masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah setempat. Munculnnya modernisasi alat tangkap dan motorisasi perahu merupakan salah satu usaha masyarakat nelayan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraannya. Adapun masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana aktivitas maritim masyarakat nelayan dalam perkembangan teknologi penangkapan ikan di Pantai Wawaran Desa Sidomulyo pada tahun 2005-2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah, adapun tahap-tahapnya yaitu Heuristik, Kritik Sumber, Interpretasi, dan Historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motorisasi perahu di Pantai Wawaran Desa Sidomulyo didukung oleh faktor rasa ingin tahu dan berkembang dari nelayan tradisional supaya dapat mencapai kehidupan yang sejahtera yang tentu tidak lepas dari peran pemerintah daerah. Penggunaan mesin tempel sebagai penggerak perahu memberikan dampak yang cukup besar bagi masyarakat sekitar. Selain pada sektor perekonomian , juga berpengaruh pada kehidupan sosial yaitu berubahnya solidaritas nelayan tradisional ke modern, seperti adanya hubungan patron-klien, berubahnya struktur sosial, pola kerja, dan sistem bagi hasil. The sea is one of the natural resources that can contribute to fishing communities to support the economy, but it cannot provide income certainty in its activities. Significant problems are caused by internal factors such as the low education of fishing communities and external factors such as traditional fishing facilities and infrastructure. The backwardness of fishing technology and the common welfare of fishing communities, especially at Wawaran Beach, Sidomulyo Village, has attracted the attention of the local community and government. The emergence of modernization of fishing gear and boat motorization is one of the efforts of fishing communities to improve their welfare. The problem discussed in this study is the maritime activities of fishing communities in developing fishing technology at Wawaran Beach, Sidomulyo Village, from 2005-2015. This study uses the historical method, while the stages are Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that boat motorization at Wawaran Beach, Sidomulyo Village, is supported by the curiosity and growth factor of traditional fishermen so that they can achieve a prosperous life, which of course, cannot be separated from the role of the local government. Using outboard engines as boat propulsion considerably impacts the surrounding community. In addition to the economic sector, it also affects social life, namely the change in solidarity from traditional to modern fishermen, such as the existence of patron-client relationships, changes in social structure, work patterns, and profit-sharing systems.
