Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1.) Untuk mengetahui informasi apa saja yang ada pada pengguna Whatsapp khususnya di desa Sidoharjo Pacitan. 2.) Untuk mengetahui pemahaman masyarakat dalam menyaringan informasi yang ada pada platform Whatsapp. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah masyarakat Desa/Kelurahan Sidoharjo Kabupaten Pacitan. Metode pemgumpulan datanya diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara secara langsung dan angket secara online. Hasil dari analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa: 1.) Informasi yang beredar pada masyarakat Kelurahan Sidoharjo menyatakan bahwa informasi Hoax dengan lingkup Kesehatan terbanyak yang beredar di masyarakat Sidoharjo Pacitan sebanyak 66%, pengklarifikasian informasi dari sumber terpercaya sebanyak 58%, penyebaran informasi bermanfaat bagi penerima informasi sebanyak 98%, informasi Hoax dalam bentuk teks atau surat kabar bergambar sebanyak 84%. pengguna mendukung bersosial media yang sehat dan baik sebanyak 72%. 2.) Dalam pemahamanya masyarakat Desa Sidoharjo Pacitan telah memahami bagaimana peranan Whatsapp sebagai media penyaringan informasi karena dengan masyarakat sudah teredukasi, informasi yang tidak valid yang beredar luas dapat dicegah sedini mungkin dengan melalui media Whatsapp yang mudah dipahami oleh kebanyakan orang. Hal tersebut dibuktikan melalui hasil penelitian ini yaitu pemahaman masyarakat yang rata � rata yang berjumlah 82%, bahwa masyarakat sangat paham bagaimana mengklarifikasi informasi melalui media Whatsapp. Kata kunci : Penyarigan Informasi, Whatsapp, Desa Sidoharjo Pacitan ABSTRACT This study aims to 1.) The approach used is a qualitative descriptive research approach. The research subjects are the people of Sidoharjo Village, Pacitan Regency. The data collection method was obtained from observation, direct interviews and online questionnaires. The results of the data analysis concluded that: 1.) Information circulating in the Sidoharjo Village community stated that Hoax information with the most Health scope circulated in the Sidoharjo Pacitan community as much as 66%, clarification of information from trusted sources as much as 58%, dissemination of useful information for recipients of information as much as 98%, hoax information in the form of text or illustrated newspapers as much as 84%. users support healthy and good social media as much as 72%. 2.) In their understanding, the people of Sidoharjo Pacitan Village have understood the role of Whatsapp as a media for filtering information because with the community being educated, invalid information that is widely circulated can be prevented as early as possible through Whatsapp media which is easily understood by most people. This is evidenced by the results of this study, namely the understanding of the average community, which amounts to 82%, that the public really understands how to clarify information through Whatsapp media.
