Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa; (2) kesulitan belajar matematika siswa; (3) kesulitan belajar matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan literasi numerasi pada siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Ngadirejan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek yang dipilih secara purposive sampling pada peserta didik di SDN Negeri Ngadirejan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik, dilanjutkan dengan analisis data dengan menggunakan Miles and Huberman meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Ngadirejan memiliki kemampuan literasi numerasi tinggi sebanyak 16%, siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi tingkat sedang sebanyak 20%, siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi tingkat cukup sebanyak 24%, dan 40% siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi tingkat rendah; (2) Jenis-jenis kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Ngadirejan adalah kelemahan dalam menghitung, kesulitan dalam mentransfer pengetahuan; dan pemahaman bahasa matematika yang kurang dan kesulitan dalam persepsi visual. (3) Kesulitan belajar matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa menunjukkan perbedaan pada masing masing kategori. Semakin tinggi kemampuan literasi numerasinya, semakin kecil kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa. Kata kunci: Kesulitan belajar matematika, kemampuan literasi numerasi ABSTRACT This study aims to determine: (1) student�s numeracy literacy skills, (2) students� mathematics learning difficulties, and (3) mathematics learning difficulties in terms of numeracy literacy skills in 4-grade students at SDN Ngadirejan. This type of research was descriptive qualitative. This study was conducted in the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. This study used selected subjects by purposive sampling on students at SDN Ngadirejan. Data collection used interview, test and documentation techniques. The validity of the data used source and technique triangulation, followed by data analysis using Miles and Huberman model including data reduction, data display, conclusions and verification. The results have shown that: (1) the grade 4 students of SDN Ngadirejan had high numeracy literacy skills as many as 16%, of students with a moderate level of numeracy literacy skills as many as 20%, of students with a moderate level of numeracy literacy skills as much as 24%, and 40% of students with low-level numeracy literacy skills; (2) Types of learning difficulties in mathematics experienced by grade 4 students at SDN Ngadirejan were weaknesses in calculating, difficulty in transferring knowledge, poor in an understanding of mathematical language, and difficulty in visual perception. (3) The difficulties in learning mathematics in terms of students' numeracy literacy abilities showed differences in each category. The higher the numeracy literacy ability, the smaller the difficulties experienced by students. Keywords: Mathematics Learning Difficulties, Numeracy Literacy Skills
