Abstract
ABSTRACT Bagas Tri Kurniawan. ANALYSIS, DESIGN, AND DEVELOPMENT OF WEBSITE-BASED INTERACTIVE LEARNING APPLICATIONS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. Thesis. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2024. This research and development project aimed to create the interactive ELWAR (English Learning Writing and Reading) website, designed to be feasible, effective, and practical for enhancing the reading and writing skills of 5th-grade elementary school students. The study employed the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Sedayu on June 21, 2024, involving 11 5th-grade students. The research procedure encompassed problem analysis, design verification, product testing, development, trials, implementation, and evaluation. The product development followed the multimedia components outlined by Alessi and Trollip and included feasibility testing by material and media experts. Feasibility testing was conducted in three stages: a one-to-one trial with three students, a small group trial with five students, and a field trial with 11 students. Data on feasibility were gathered using a quality assessment questionnaire and analyzed as percentages. The practicality and effectiveness of the ELWAR website were also evaluated with the same group of 11 students. The practicality test used a questionnaire, while the effectiveness test involved reading and writing skills assessments analyzed using the gain score test. The results indicated that the ELWAR website is highly feasible for improving the reading and writing skills of 5th-grade students, with a media feasibility percentage of 98.3%, material feasibility of 88.8%, and overall feasibility of 93.55%. The website was found to be very practical, with a practicality rating of 87.9%. It significantly improved reading and writing skills, with an average N Gain Score of 0.84 (83.93%). The ELWAR website has been validated by material and media experts, meeting academic standards and demonstrating high effectiveness.
