Abstract
ABSTRAK Imam Ramdhani. ANALISIS PENYEBAB KESULITAN MEMBACA SISWA SD NEGERI MANGUNHARJO ARJOSARI. Skripsi, Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2024. Pembelajaran merupakan penunjang bagi pendidik agar berlangsung proses perolehan pengetahuan, keterampilan, kebiasaan serta pembentukan sikap dan keyakinan pada diri siswa. Membaca merupakan suatu keterampilan berbahasa yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui penyebab kesulitan membaca siswa, 2) bentuk kesulitan siswa dan 3) upaya guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti di SD Negeri Mangunharjo yaitu terdapat 7 siswa dari kelas 1, 2, 3 dan 4 yang mengalami kesulitan membaca 1) Penyebab kesulitan membaca siswa meliputi 2 faktor yaitu faktor internal yang meliputi kondisitubuh, intelegensi, minat, motivasi, kematangan sosial dan emosi dan faktor eksternal yaitu keluarga kurang membiasakan dalam membaca dan cara mengajar guru, 2) Bentuk kesulitan yang dialami siswa yaitu kesulitan mengenal huruf, kesulitan mengabungkan huruf dan kurang lancar membaca, 3) Upaya guru mengatasi kesulitan yang dialami siswa yaitu cara mengajar guru dengan merutinkan praktek membaca setiap hari dalam proses pembelajaran, menggunakan media pembelajaran kartu baca, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan motivasi siswa serta menyediakan program dukungan membaca, jam tambahan khusus, pendampingan secara ekstra, penyediaan sudut baca dan pembiasaan membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Kesulitan membaca, Penyebab Kesulitan Membaca, Siswa SD ABSTRACT Imam Ramdhani. ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES OF READING DIFFICULTIES OF MANGUNHARJOARJOSARI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT. Thesis, Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2024. Learning is a support for educators, so that the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, habits, forming attitudes and beliefs in students. Reading is a language skill that every student must have. This research aims to 1) find out the causes of students' reading difficulties, 2) the forms of students' difficulties, and 3) teachers' efforts to overcome students' reading difficulties. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data validity uses source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research at Mangunharjo State Elementary School, there were 7 students from grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 who experienced reading difficulties. 1) The causes of students' reading difficulties include 2 factors, namely internal factors, which include body condition, intelligence, interest, motivation, social, emotional maturity and external factors, namely the family's lack of familiarity with reading and the teacher's way of teaching, 2) The forms of difficulty experienced by students, namely difficulty recognizing letters, difficulty combining letters, and less fluency in reading, 3) Teachers' efforts to overcome the difficulties experienced by students, namely how to teach teachers by routinely practicing reading every day in the learning process, using reading card learning media, increasing students' self-confidence and motivation, as well as providing reading support programs, special extra hours, extra mentoring, providing a reading corner, and the habit of reading 15 minutes before learning.
