Abstract
ABSTRAK Umi Nurfahmawati. PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN KONSTRUKTIVISME DALAM KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 2 BORANG. Skripsi. Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar STKIP PGRI Pacitan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran konstruktivisme dalam kemampuan membaca siswa serta mendeskripsikan tentang: (1) faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan membaca pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Borang ; (2) bentuk penerapan pembelajaran konstruktivisme dalam kelas IV : (3) pembelajaran konstruktivisme dalam mengatasi siswa yang mengalami kesulitan membaca di kelas IV. Pendekatan konstruktivisme menekankan pada pembelajaran aktif dan interaktif, di mana siswa bekerja sama dengan teman-teman sekelas dan belajar secara langsung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi menyeluruh dengan siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan pendekatan konstruktivisme membuat siswa lebih terlibat dan termotivasi untuk membaca. Siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemahaman mereka tentang membaca teks, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CONSTRUCTIVIST LEARNING IN THE READING ABILITY OF FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS AT STATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 2 BORANG. Thesis. Elementary School Teacher Education STKIP PGRI Pacitan. This research aims to apply constructivist learning to students' reading abilities and to describe: (1) the factors influencing the low reading skills of fourth-grade students at State Elementary School 2 Borang; (2) the forms of implementing constructivist learning in the fourth grade; (3) constructivist learning in addressing students who experience difficulties in reading in the fourth grade. The constructivist approach emphasizes active and interactive learning, where students collaborate with their classmates and learn through direct experience. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used include thorough observation, interviews, and documentation with students and teachers. The research results show that using a constructivist approach makes students more engaged and motivated to read. Students are showing improvement in their understanding of reading texts, as well as their critical and creative thinking skills. KEYWORDS: Learning, Constructivism, Reading Skills
