Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bentuk ideologi dan formasi ideologi dalam novel karya Karine yang berjudul I Promise You dengan menggunakan teori hegemoni Gramsci. Masalah penelitian ini merupakan bentuk ideologi dan formasi ideologi dalam novel. Dalam novel ini, peneliti menggunakan metode sebagai berikut: menentukan subjek penelitian, mengidentifikasi ideologi berdasarkan teori hegemoni Gramsci, dan menganalisis formasi ideologi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada empat bentuk ideologi dalam novel tersebut, yaitu ideologi individualisme, ideologi sosialisme, ideologi liberalisme, ideologi fasisme. Formasi ideologi dalam novel tersebut muncul dalam empat hubungan yaitu individualisme dengan sosialisme, hubungan antara individu dengan liberalisme, hubungan antara liberalisme dengan sosialisme, dan hubungan antara liberalisme dengan sosialisme. Pada masing-masing formasi terdapat ideologi yang dominan. Di sisi lain ada ideologi yang terdominasi (posisi subaltern). Kata Kunci: Ideologi, Hegemoni, Sastra, Gramscian, Novel. ABSTRACT: This study aims to analyze the various forms of ideology and formation found in the novel by Karine entitled I Promise You. Researcher analyzed the data by using Gramsci’s theory of hegemony. The problem in this study is the form of ideology and formation contained in the novel. In this research, the researcher used a method as follow: determine the subject of this research, identify ideology based on the theory of hegemony by Gramsci, and analyze the ideology found in the novel.Based on the result of this study, there are four forms of ideology found in the novel, namely individualism ideology, socialism ideology, liberalism ideology, and fascism ideology. Ideological formations in the novel appear in four relationship, namely individualism between socialism, the relationship between individualism and liberalism, the relationship between liberalism between socialism and the relationship between liberalism and socialism. in each formation there was a dominant ideology. On the other hand, there was ideology that was dominated (subaltern position). Keywords :Ideology, Hegemony, Literary Work.
