Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang; 2) kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang dengan motivasi belajar tinggi; 3) kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang dengan motivasi belajar rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 dengan jumlah 25 siswa, dipilih menggunakan cara purpossive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi dokumentasi, angket motivasi belajar, tes membaca pemahaman, serta wawancara dengan siswa, guru, dan orangtua. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber, dilanjutkan analisa data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Diperoleh hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang pada kategori tinggi sebesar 52% dan kategori rendah 48%; 2) Kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang dengan motivasi belajar tinggi adalah sangat baik (38,5%), baik (23%), dan cukup baik (38,5%); 3) kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimalang dengan motivasi belajar rendah adalah baik (16,7%), cukup (58,3%), dan kurang (25%). Beberapa siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan tes membaca pemahaman karena siswa memiliki kemampuan dan konsentrasi yang berbeda-beda. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Membaca pemahaman. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Jatimalang; 2) the reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Jatimalang with high learning motivation; 3) the reading comprehension ability of the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Jatimalang with low learning motivation. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Jatimalang for the academic year of 2020/2021 with a 25 students total number of students, selected by using a purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques included documentation, learning motivation questionnaires, reading comprehension tests, and interviews with students, teachers, and parents. The data validity technique used triangulation of techniques and sources, followed by data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The research results were obtained, namely: 1) the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Jatimalang in the high category of 52% and the low category of 48%; 2) the reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Jatimalang with high learning motivation was very good (38.5%), good (23%), and quite good (38.5%); 3) the reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Jatimalang with low learning motivation was good (16.7%), sufficient (58.3%), and less (25%). Some students still had difficulties in completing the reading comprehension test because students have different abilities and concentrations. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Reading comprehension.
