Abstract

The legend of Endang Rara Tompeis developed in Tokawi Village, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. Admitted as a part of local wisdom, the legend of Endang RaraTompe contains some values. Thus, the legend of Endang Rara Tompe Pacitan aims not only to entertain but also to influence the society behaviors. This research aimed to know the form of ecological intelligence found in the legend of Endang RaraTompe that has been transformed into Kethek Ogleng performance. The data were collected by conducting interviews, recording the performances, and tracking of supporting documents. The result showed that the legend of Endang Rara Tompe transformed in Pacitan Kethek Ogleng performances has ecological intelligences in the form of: a) The existence of monkeyrepresentsthenatural preservation, b) Blendrong represents process of life; c) Kudangan represents with nature; d) OraIlok keeps the natural balancing.
