Abstract

Dina Anugerah Susianti. Identifikasi Kesulitan Siswa dan Penanganannya dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Matematika Materi Pecahan Kelas III SD Negeri 1 Sirnoboyo Pacitan. Skripsi. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika materi pecahan dan upaya guru mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas III SD Negeri 1 Sirnoboyo Pacitan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 15 siswa selanjutnya dipilih berdasarkan indikator kesulitan belajar dan guru kelas III SD Negeri 1 Sirnoboyo Pacitan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, wawancara, dan angket. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan uji kredibilitas data dan uji obyektivitas, dilanjutkan dengan analisis data yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis-jenis kesulitan yang dialami siswa yaitu: (1) tidak dapat menerjemahkan soal ke dalam model matematika, (2) kesulitan mengingat rumus dan operasi hitung, dan (3) tidak tepat menarik kesimpulan. Upaya guru mengatasi kesulitan belajar yaitu: (1) memberikan latihan soal berupa tugas di kelas dan di rumah, (2) orang tua selalu mendampingi dan membantu siswa menyelesaikan tugas, dan (3) memberikan tambahan waktu belajar di kelas. Identification of Student Difficulties and How to Overcome them in Solving Math Story Problems on Fractions by Third Grade Students of State Elementary School 1 Sirnoboyo Pacitan. Thesis. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2022. This study aimed to determine the types of difficulties experienced by students in solving math story problems with fractions and the teacher's efforts to overcome the difficulties in learning mathematics experienced by third grade students of State Elementary School 1 Sirnoboyo Pacitan. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The subjects of this study consisted of 15 students who were then selected based on indicators of learning difficulties and third grade teachers at the State Elementary School 1 Sirnoboyo Pacitan. The data collection techniques used were test techniques, interviews, and questionnaires. The data validity used the data credibility test and objectivity test, followed by data analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicated that the types of difficulties experienced by students are: (1) unable to translate the problem into a mathematical model, (2) difficulty remembering formulas and arithmetic operations, and (3) unable to draw appropriate conclusions. The teacher's efforts to overcome learning difficulties were: (1) providing exercises in the form of class and home assignments, (2) parents always accompanying and assisting students in completing assignments, and (3) providing additional learning time in class.
