Abstract
This research describes the model of strengthening nationalism and Islam in Islamic boarding schools and Islamic educational institutions. This is a library research. The data were classified into primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources include various views related to nationalism, Islam, Islamic boarding schools and Islamic education from various journals, books and scientific articles. Secondary data sources include all data and views related to nationalism and Islam from various references. The researchers used descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data. The results showed that the model of strengthe1n6ing nationalism and Islam could be implemented substantially and clearly in various Islamic boarding schools, as well as Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The model of strengthening nationalism and Islam in Islamic boarding schools was developed through three stages simultaneously and sustainability through strengthening inputs, strengthening processes, and strengthening outputs. In addition, the strengthening of nationalism and Islam in educational institutions can be developed through formal educational institutions, family environment, and community environment.
