Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat baca dengan kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri gugus 03 di kecamatan pacitan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 26 siswa. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah minat baca (X) dan kemampuan menulis cerpen (Y). Metode pengumpulan data dengan koesioner atau angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara minat baca dengan kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa dengan koefisien korelasi Rxy sebesar 0,116 dengan koefisien determinasi (r2) sebesar 0,013 pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Kata kunci: Minat Baca, Kemampuan Menulis, Cerpen. Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between students’ interest towards students’reading and writing short story ability in class V of Elementary School Cluster 03 in Pacitan sub-district. This research is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The population of the study was 26 students. The variables in this study were students’ interest in reading (X) and students’ ability of writing short story (Y). Data collection method used questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used Product moment correlation analysis. The results of this study can be conclude that that there is no positive and significant relationship between students’ interest in reading with the their ability in writing short stories; the result of with an rxy correlation coefficient of 0.116 and with a coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.013 at a significance level of α = 0.05.
