The research instruments used to collect the data are field notes, material sheets, questionnaire sheets, handphones, and Whatsapp applications. Techniques that were used to analyze data are data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The result of this study is presented descriptively to express perception and motivation toward English through Google Meet. In this study found that the perception is according to students learning English through Google Meet was quite good. Because it could help to learn activities when in a pandemic situation, even though it was not like face-to-face learning activities. In addition, the time provided was quite effective one and a half hours. Furthermore, students also had problems in online learning such as network disturbances, and internet data packages that run out quickly. While student motivation was enthusiastic about participating in online learning, this could be seen from the way students think they were still diligent in doing assignments and repeating material that has not been understood even though it is done online. Furthermore, some students were not enthusiastic about learning English through google meet, this could be seen from the attitude of students who were lazier to study because they have many assignments given by the teacher, and students fell bored with the tasks given repeatedly. In addition, student activity was quite lacking, only 3 to 4 students were active in answering light questions from the teacher. As well as avoiding questions from the teacher by logging out when learning takes place. Key Words: Perception, Motivation, and Google Meet
