Abstract

ABSTRAK Azzahra Nanda Kitnasari. Pengembangan Pop-Up Book Bangun Datar Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa Kelas II Sekolah Dasar.Skripsi. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) prosedur pengembangan media pop-up book untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi bangun datar kelas II sekolah dasar; (2) hasil pengembangan media pop-up book untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi bangun datar kelas II sekolah dasar; (3) peningkatan pemahaman siswa pada materi bangun datar kelas II sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D S. Thiagarajan. Langkah-langkah penelitian yang dilakukan dalam model pengembangan 4D meliputi (a) Pendefinisian; (b) Perancangan; (c) Pengembangan; (d) Penyebaran. Peneliti membatasi langkah-langkah penelitian menjadi pendefinisian, perancangan dan pengembangan, dikarenakan keterbatasan biaya dan waktu. Produk media pengembangan diuji cobakan dalam uji coba kelompok kecil sebanyak 5 siswa kelas II sekolah dasar dengan mengambil materi mengenal bangun datar. Kelayakan produk didasarkan oleh ahli media, ahli materi, respon siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket respon, tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik tingkat kevalidan produk dan analisis data uji. Media pop-up book berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) media pop-up book untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi bangun datar kelas II sekolah dasar dikembangkan dengan model pengembangan 4DS. Thiagarajan; (2) penilaian ahli media memperoleh rerata 4,2 dengan kategori “Valid”, penilaian ahli materi memperoleh rerata 4,6 dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, penilaian respon siswa terhadap media 5,0 “Sangat Baik”; (3) media pop-up book meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Pada nilai pre-test siswa mendapatkan rata-rata 50 dengan kategori “Tidak Tuntas” dan nilai post-test mendapatkan rata-rata 80 dengan kategori “Tuntas” dengan hasil pesertanse pemahaman pre-test sebesar 0% dan hasil persentase pemahaman post-test sebesar 100%. The Development of Pop Up Book on Two-Dimensional Figure Material to Improve the Understanding at the Second Grade of Elementary School. Thesis. Pacitan: STKIP PGRI Pacitan, 2022. This research aimed to determine: (1) the procedure in developing a media pop-up book to improve the students' understanding on two-dimensional figure material for second grade of elementary school; (2) the results of developing a pop-up book media to improve the students' understanding on two-dimensional figure material for second grade of elementary school; (3) to increase students' understanding on two-dimensional figure material for second grade of elementary school. The type of this research was research and development (R&D) with the S. Thiagarajan 4D development model. The steps of this research carried out in the 4D development model included (a) Definition; (b) Design; (c) Development; (d) Deployment. The researcher confined the research steps to definition, design, and development, because of constraints in cost and time. The development media product was tested in a small group trial of 5 students in the second grade of elementary school by taking the material about the recognized two-dimensional figure. The feasibility of the product was based on media experts, material experts, and student responses. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis used product validity level techniques and test data analysis. Pop-up book media based on research results show that: (1) pop-up book media improved the students' understanding of two-dimensional figure material for second grade of elementary school with the S. Thiagarajan 4D development model; (2) the expert of media assessment obtained an average of 4.2 with the "Valid" category, the expert of material assessment obtained an average of 4.6 with the "Very Valid" category, the student's assessment of the media was 5.0 "Very Good"; (3) pop-up book media could be improved students' understanding. In the pre-test score, the students got an average of 50 in the "Incomplete" category and the post-test score got an average of 80 in the "Complete" category with the results of understanding the pre-test at 0% and the results of understanding the post-test at 100%.
